On an incredibly hot day near a river in Salinas, some heartless person abandoned five young puppies in a Tupperware container. When discovered, they were panting and very overheated. Fortunately, they were able to be stabilized, and Rocket Dog Rescue stepped up to help.
The San Francisco Bay Area dog rescue, run by a group of dedicated volunteers, save dogs from death at shelters, cruelty and in neglect situations.
After a shaky time trying to stabilize them, the calls to get them where they needed to go began. And 15 chaotic hours from being left alone in a box to a (likely) brutal outcome-a dozen hearts invested with love – they are safe and snuggled in at The Rocket Dog Rescue Urban Sanctuary.

The litter of puppies are sickly, skinny and are now receiving medical care.
A local Bay Area foster home is needed for two weeks (or more) to help the puppies. If interested, please email:

Updates to follow. The puppies are not available for adoption at this time.
