Final plea for dog sitting at shelter for months – he has hours left before being put down

Time has nearly run out for a dog who has been sitting at an open-intake animal control agency for months. The dog, named Soulga, has hours left to live – he is scheduled to be put down at 7 p.m. tonight because he has had no interest, from anyone, during all of his time at the animal control facility.

On Thursday afternoon, Animal Heartline Humane issued the last call for Soulga, writing:

He has 4 hours and 45 minutes left.
It’s 2:15 pm on 4/28. He is scheduled for euthanasia at 7 pm tonight. Please, if you have a pet free home, consider saving a life.
Making the same exact post, one more time.

Adding:

Soulga’s time is up. Shit, or get off the pot. No one wants to see him euthanized. But he’s been sitting at CACC for months. He’s had no interest. His needs, are frankly, more difficult to find homes for. And kennel space is desperately needed. Dogs must leave the building when new dogs continue to pour in. Let’s allow them to walk out themselves! Alive! With their human heroes.

Describing the reasons that it has been hard to find Soulga a home:

Soulga is heartworm positive (this means he will need someone committed to seeing him through approximately 4 months of treatment) and he prefers to be the only dog.

Personality information:

Soulga is a happy senior guy!

He doesn’t need much more than a home that loves him and lets him know he’s a good boy. Soulga is easy peasy to handle. He likes to mosey around the yard and take in all the smells. He sits on command and loves treats. Soulga allows handling all over and lights up when we give him at a boy pats. He is such a nice boy! Soulga needs to be the only pet in his future home and they will be lucky to have him.
