On Thursday, Maggie arrived at the Memphis Animal Services in Tennessee. She is the heartbreaking face of a stray; a senior dog estimated to be 14-years-old. This poor gal was found roaming the streets – where is her owner?

Not much is known about Maggie yet, and she will be evaluated for diseases, heartworms, temperament and injuries. Three business day holds apply to stray dogs allowing the time for owners to reclaim their pets. Sadly, there are no grace periods for surrendered or returned pets.

The kennels are starting to fill up and it is hoped the Memphis community will foster some of the dogs. All needed supplies are provided.

More information about Maggie will be made available shortly. Click here for adoption information.
