Small dog in carrier abandoned in mailbox

Spread the love

Early Friday morning, when the staff from the Richmond Animal Care & Control thought they had seen it all, a small dog was reported to have been found in a carrier and abandoned in a mailbox. The dog did not belong to the person at that address.

The dog has been named “Mail Order Bride” and is now safe and remains in the care of the staff at the shelter.

The Richmond Animal Care & Control is asking anyone with information regarding the owner to contact them at 804-646-5573. This incident follows a series of recent animal abandonment cases in the Richmond area.

No details about her health or disposition have been released, but let’s all give this little one a chance to relax and feel safe.
