Shelter dog spends best day at Commonwealth’s Attorney Office hoping to be adopted

What an exciting day for one-year-old Crescent Roll on May 7, when she headed to the Office of the Commonwealth’s Attorney for a fun day away from the Colonial Heights Animal Control and better yet – a chance to be seen by potential adopters.

When Crescent Roll arrived, she was very excited and ran from room to room making sure every person stopped by to say hello. Once she was confident her presence was known, she calmed down and settled into the sweetest office guest for the entire day.

No doubt, Crescent Roll had a wonderful day and impressed the entire office. She had no accidents, had no interest in toys and mostly wanted to be loved by everyone. Of course, not having any other doggy competition and being away from the shelter, added to her joy.

It would be wonderful if this girl could find a home so she can continue her naps, her daydreams and a future filled with fun and love. She is noted by the shelter to be great with children and does well with dogs her size. She might be a little too interested in smaller dogs, so a meet and greet would be required for resident dogs.

She has been spayed and has received her rabies vaccine; on Monday, she will be ready to go home. Please share her adorable photos and her wish to find a loving home with lots of love.

The Colonial Heights Animal Control is located at 301 Charles Dimmock Pkwy in Colonial Heights, Virginia.

Basic information:

American pit bull terrier

Weight 67 pounds

Here’s what the humans have to say about me:

“cutest little 8-month-old baby in a stroller. We’re happy to report—Crescent Roll passed her “tiny human test” with flying colors. She was incredibly gentle, even sneaking in a few toe licks (because… obviously, baby toes are irresistible).
We were told she was pretty excited when she first got outside and pulled a bit—but once she got going, she settled into a much calmer walk. The best part? Every time the volunteers stopped, she would stop too—either sitting or laying down patiently, just waiting for them. No chaos, no drama… just a happy girl enjoying her time out.”
