It had been on Tuesday, June 9, when a squatty little piglet-shaped pup with the saddest eyes and skin that appears raw and painful covered in wounds was spotted scavenging the sidewalks in Atlanta, Georgia. Yes, people just ignored ignored her and walked right by.
There was little doubt this poor little dog had been in agony for far too long.
When found by the local shelter, she wore no collar, and no one showed up to claim her.
Hounds in Pounds Inc., a rescue based in New Jersey have offered to step up and give her a new life. Right now she’s sitting in a kennel and watching the world go by. Her eyes are crusted, she is nearly hairless and her body is covered in scabs and angry looking inflamed skin. She must feel as if she is on fire.
In addition, as if she couldn’t feel any worse, she is full of worms, and it’s heartbreaking to know she has clearly been suffering for a long time.

Never feeling comfortable.
Never being able to escape it.
Just existing inside it.
Now more than ever Spaghetti O needs someone to help her make the pain go away. Hounds In Pounds Inc want to get her veterinary care, give her a soft blanket, good food, medication and comfort. Most of all, they want her to know that life can get better, and although she likely has been abandoned by the very people who at one time promised to care for and love her, there are people who will keep their promise to her for a better future.
Despite everything, she is described as still gentle, still hopeful and still hanging on.
