At Dallas Dog – Rescue.Rehab.Reform, the nonprofit dog rescue organization is currently caring for 40 puppies, and more continue to come in as emergencies.

The puppy crisis escalated this week when nine newborn puppies were dumped at Walmart; one puppy did not survive. The rest of the puppies were on a few hours old, and their umbilical cords were still attached. These tiny defenseless lives were covered in bite marks.

Of course, these little ones should have been with their mother. Instead they are relying on the staff and volunteers at the rescue to feed them every few hours.

Fosters needed:
Two foster homes willing to take a PAIR

One foster home willing to take a TRIO
Bottle babies require:

Feedings every few hours
Warmth and monitoring
Daily weight checks
Patience and consistency
Someone willing to lose a little sleep to save a life

Dallas Dog -RRR will provide:
All supplies
Train foster volunteers how to care for the little ones
Provide needed support every step of the way
There are also supplies needed, since so many puppies need so many different things. If you cannot foster, maybe you can donate:

Puppy bottles and nipples
Puppy milk replacer
Small enrichment toys
Heating pads (no auto shutoff)
Puppy pads
Baby wipes
Blankets and towels

DONATIONS NEEDED
This is what rescue really looks like; it is overwhelming, constant and exhausting, but these lifesavers are here for those who do not have voices of their own.
These puppies will arrive on Friday, and it is hoped they get the fresh start they deserve.
