At the Clayton County Animal Control in Ellenwood, Georgia, rescuers and volunteers alike are calling out to the public for help with a gentle Great Pyrenees and her litter of puppies. Because she is a nursing mom, she is only available for “rescue” as her puppies are reliant on their mother.

Meet LEONA (A025524); she is currently on the urgent list. Leona is described by the shelter as a four-year-old Great Pyrenees weighing approximately 73 pounds.

Leona was found as a stray on August 25 near Ridgeview Trail in Clayton County, Georgia. Her evaluators state she is mild-tempered, gentle and very sweet. She shows no aggression at all when her puppies are being handled by the staff.

Surely Leona and her family deserve better than to be at a shelter. Please share her plight with approved rescue organizations, friends, family and social media. Sharing saves lives.
