Meet Moon; this very special puppy was rescued by a Good Samaritan just a few weeks ago when spotted walking in the middle of the road in a Houston suburb.

This Is Houston stepped up to help, and this beautiful four-month-old Great Pyrenees blend is ready to find his forever home.
Although rescuing puppies out of busy streets has become so much more common, finding a puppy who is both blind and deaf outdoors by himself is heartbreaking. It’s sad to think of a puppy on the streets all alone, but one that cannot see or hear?

Luckily, someone noticed him. He has double dew claws and is pretty large weighing in at 13 pounds and only four months old. The rescuers do plan to find out more about his breeding through testing:
We’ll probably DNA test him for giggles but we’re so glad Moon is safe and we can’t wait to find his family!
When found Moon, was filthy indicating he had been an outside pup who didn’t seem to have had much luck in his short life. In addition to being dirty, he was covered in fleas and ticks. He was also full of worms and the beginning of a ringworm infection. He has since been treated by the partner veterinarians for ThisIsHouston and has made amazing progress.
