In Parkville, Maryland, the story of a young deer dubbed “Bucket Boy” has gone viral as rescuers and individuals are coming out trying to help save his life.

The deer, with a blue Halloween bucket stuck on his head, prevents him from eating; rescuers have employed the help of drones to safely approach him for the removal.

So far thermal drones and attempts to get close to him have been unsuccessful.

Wildlife organizations have also stepped in to help. When the deer was with the other deer, he was observed by witnesses trying to head butt the bucket with other deer, but it didn’t work.

According to Maryland’s Department of Natural Resources Wildlife and Heritage Service, multiple attempts have been employed since he was spotted on October 27.

Longtime volunteers from Lost Animal Resource Group and First Response Drone Pet Search & Rescue have stepped in to help.

If anyone spots him, please do not try to approach. Instead call 410.260.8888.
