Florida couple share how 5 rescue dogs sleep comfortably in bed with them

A Florida woman posted a now viral clip on TikTok showing how she and her husband sleep comfortably in bed at night with their five rescue dogs.

Tracy Fosterling and her husband Tyler, live in Jacksonville with their five dogs and two cats, and more often than not, even care for a few foster dogs waiting for their turn to be adopted and live happily ever after. Although the couple explained on their video clips, they never intended to have so many dogs, it just happened.

dogs’ lives are short, and if they want to be close to us at night then we want that for them.

Most readers agreed with the sentiment, and it had been in December 2024 that Tracy shared the viral video explaining how the nighttime routine worked with five dogs – various sizes mind you, all fitting comfortably into the king sized bed with two humans.

So here’s how it works; the “tiny dog” has her own bed placed between the couple’s pillows. The Labrador retriever snuggles in underneath between the couple, and the young Great Pyrenees wants to sleep in Tracy’s spot, so she always has to nudge him to the side. Oh, the “big mama Pyrenees” sleeps at the bottom of the bed, and the black Labrador crawls up to Tyler and settles in for the night.

In the video, viewers can also see two more dogs asleep in a dog bed on the floor next to the couple’s bed. Tracy says the foster dogs need to learn to respect space, and she is aware mindful that not all pet owners want dogs on their beds.

“you either love it or strongly dislike letting your dogs in the bed.”

Here’s a few of the responses. Please feel free to join in with your own in the comment section below:

I’d rather sleep 5 hours with my dogs than 10 hours without them ♥️their time here is too short. Let them in the bed!!!

The smell and dog hair 😳. Could never be me.

it’s my nightmare, I barely tolerate my husband😂

Of course, you don’t have to have your dogs in bed with you at night, but adopting and fostering the millions of dogs in animal shelters make all the difference to that dog.

Many thanks to Tracy for her kind heart.
