In the City of Fontana, the owner of three adorable pups, prepared for another day of work. He fed his favorite three tiny companions and of course, as most dog owners do when leaving the house, told them he would be back later.

He got on his scooter like he always did; gave them kisses and yelled back:
I’ll be back soon.
And like every other day, the three tiny canines believed him. This time, however – their person never returned.

They didn’t know that just down the road, he had been hit by a car. They didn’t know that he had been rushed to the hospital and that he didn’t make it. They just kept looking for him through the neighbor’s yard, toward the street.
Soon he would be coming home they were sure.

But he wasn’t coming back.
And then their plight turned even sadder. The man’s relatives arrived at the house and took everything they wanted or had value, but what they didn’t want or had no value to them – they left. The three dogs were completely ignored and left to fend for themselves.
Neighbors knew they had to do something, and besides feeding and leaving them water, being alone and running around the area would either get them sick or killed. One of the residents called Logan’s Legacy 29 founder and independent rescuer Suzette Hall, for help.

When I arrived, my heart sank. It was so hot inside. One was hiding behind a dresser, another curled in the corner of a room, and one I had to trap. They didn’t want to leave—they didn’t understand. Their daddy was gone, but they were still waiting for him.
Today, they aren’t waiting anymore. Today, they are safe. Their hearts will slowly learn that the future will be different—but they won’t be alone; not ever again.

Because love came for them, just like they always believed it would. They are all receiving physical examinations, vaccinations and are being groomed. More updates to come as to when they will be ready to find their loving homes.
