In Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, the Sarama Animal Rescue had not planned on pulling any new cases until they found stable foster homes for a few of their other dogs currently in limbo. Then, again, when the all volunteer group heard about Cinnamon and how she had been thrown out of a second story window and needed emergency surgery for a broken leg, they stepped up to help.

When she landed, her leg snapped. Cinnamon laid there screaming, her cries echoing in pain and fear, until she was taken to the shelter. The shelter reached out for help…
Cinnamon had been in the care of one of the local shelters, and her time was nearly up; she needed a rescue to help, and fortunately a foster home volunteered. The young dog was now a member of the SAR family.
Cinnamon was safe.
The dog was transferred to an emergency veterinary hospital where radiographs indicated she needed to undergo surgery in order to repair multiple breaks. The news was celebrated; Cinnamon would be able to keep her leg. A very generous donor stepped up and volunteered to cover all veterinarian costs associated with her injury. She successfully underwent surgery and just two days later, the friendly pooch is giving kisses and loving all of the kind people in her life.

Taking in another dog, however comes with other vet care and general costs like spay, vaccines, crate, heartworm tests and preventatives, treats, toys and enrichment; especially what Cinnamon will need while on crate rest as she recovers from surgery.
She now requires frequent bandage changes and follow-up exams to monitor her progress.

Any help is greatly appreciated
