At the Broward County Animal Care in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, 12-year-old Tiger doesn’t understand why she is being confined to a small kennel. Even more perplexing is the profound absence of her owner. Sadly, the family decided they no longer wanted to deal with an aging Shih Tzu and surrendered her to the shelter.

Tiger continues to grieve and wait for that familiar voice of her human. How does anyone explain to Tiger the life she used to know has completely changed. And now, is someone out here who will rescue this sweet girl and give her the best retirement with lots of love and care?

“Broward County Animal Care, Florida
@thepawproject__ Tiger (A1883214) is a 12 year old senior girl whose whole world just changed. Her owner passed away, and now she finds herself alone and confused in the shelter. She sits shaking in fear, barely lifting her head. You can see she was once deeply loved — she deserves to feel that again.
Please consider opening your heart and home to Tiger. She just needs someone to remind her what love feels like again.”
