Much like humans, dogs can shed tears as emotional responses to stressful situations. These tears often manifest their feelings expressing sadness, fear, anxiety or even joy. At Dallas Animal Services in Texas, according to one of the regular shelter volunteers, Dutchess was seen literally crying in defeat this past week.
When Dutchess entered the shelter, she was hopeful; her tail happily thumped from excitement. She couldn’t wait to go onto an adventure, but the monotony, the noise, the strangers and the loneliness crept in like villains every passing day. And now the tears, as all of our hearts break for this sweet dog who only wants to be loved and have her own home.

Check out her video: (She is just so sweet)
This dog is three-years-old and weighs 47 pounds. Check how carefully she accepts treats.

The shelter volunteer described Dutchess when she arrived on Friday:
this sweet, sweet girl laid on a towel all by herself just whimpering as i came up to her kennel. She sat there with literal tears in her eyes. Someone really failed her.
