URGENT #A5610343 AMIGO

WILL BE EUTHANIZED ANYTIME

At the Baldwin Park Animal Care and Control in California, “Amigo” was so excited yesterday. Finally, someone had committed to adopting the seven-year-old abandoned pup who entered the shelter as a stray on February 27.

According to shelter notes, Amigo has been terribly neglected and when he was picked up, had purple dye on the his side. Maybe he had been injured and someone had tried to treat his wounds? Sadly, when this poor fellow was found, he was severely matted; his paws so tightly knotted with mats, it had to have been painful to even walk.

The shelter sent out two notices asking for help; either an approved rescue organization or a kind-hearted person who would want to make a difference in a neglected dog’s life, and show him that most people really do care.

Then again:

his medical notes said he had a 3/6 heart murmur. Someone was going to adopt him yesterday, but when she heard he has a heart murmur, she canceled his adoption.
