In the parking lot at the jail in Los Angeles, guards tried to help an abandoned dog; she was so small, and no one could figure how why she was there or who could have been so heartless as to think a dog weighing less than six-pounds could ever survive on her own on the streets?

Through the kindness of employees, a bed had been set up for the frightened dog, and everyday food and water was left next to her tiny bed. How they wished the dog would let them help her, but whatever had happened to her seemed to have made her too afraid to approach anyone. It seemed as soon as anyone would even look at her, she would run away.

Late last week, Suzette Hall, founder of Logan’s Legacy 29, arrived at the jail’s parking lot in the evening, and spotted the dog; she was sleeping in the little bed.
My heart sank. She saw me and ran so fast. i set my trap because i knew she would be back to her little bed.
It had been a very hot evening in Los Angeles. Temperatures soared to nearly 100 degrees, and a humane trap was set up. Suzette waited. The guard at the gate said the dog had just run past him, and Suzette knew the dog had been heading back to her bed and the food she knew waited for her.

Suzette hid. Fifteen minutes later she quietly walked over to the trap, and there she was – safe! For two weeks the dog had been alone and scared, and then it was finally over. This tiny dog was finally safe.

Her name is Tiny, and after she is given a clean bill of health from the veterinarian, Suzette will be updating Tiny’s status and her future.
No one’s kidding when the old adage of it takes a village – guards, rescue volunteers, Good Samaritans and Suzette Hall from Logan’s Legacy 29 all helped to rescue Tiny.
Donations are extremely important to be able to continue with the amazing work from this rescue.
