At the True and Faithful Pet Rescue in Venice, Florida, a sweet senior who hasn’t had the easiest life in the past has had to face another heartbreaking challenge. It seems the family who adopted Twinkle just four months ago, returned her to the shelter because Twinkle wanted to sleep in their bed.

Twinkle, weighing only 3 1/2 pounds, had been found on the streets of Miami. She was spayed at the shelter, and they left a few mammary tumors. Her mouth was terrible, she had such terrible skin and barely any fur. It had been a happy day when she was adopted; everyone thought she had found her “furever” home.

While it may be difficult for most pet parents to understand, the true purpose of telling Twinkle’s story is to help find Twinkle a new and loving home. Check out her video on TikTok and fall in love:

Well guys … thanks to all the support Twinkle has received from so many wonderful people – sharing her story and helping her find a loving home, it worked! In a follow-up video, we are all smiling after being informed Twinkle has a pending adoption, and a home where she will definitely be allowed to sleep with her beloved humans.

There are numerous other dogs available for adoption. Please click here and check these cuties out.

  1. I can’t believe that this first family was so heartless to not allow Twinkle to sleep with them during her adjustment period to her new life……..

Over the years of rescue, I have found that furbabies are very adaptable and resilient. If the furbaby understands what the pack leaders want, they will go along with the house rules.

I hope Twinkle’s new furever family is more understanding……..

This rescue is really wonderful!!! They focus on elderly and medically vulnerable furbabies. These precious furbabies are vetted and treated for whatever is medically appropriate.

It’s absolutely fantastic to see the adoptive parents with their precious little treasures😀😀😀

I only wish this rescue was in Washington state because it is the kind of rescue that I would love to work with…..
