Heartbreaking: So few laws to protect abandoned dogs just like Marissa

Spread the love

Meet Marissa; one look at her, and our hearts break for the suffering and neglect this kind and gentle dog has had to endure. Sadly, her past owner just abandoned her in this condition this morning at a rural shelter in Texas.

Rescue Dogs Rock NYC were asked to help, and without hesitation stopped forward. Her name is Marissa, and wherever and with whom she belonged at one time in her life, she undoubtedly had been treated terribly.

her owners deserve to be put in jail for this but of course there are no laws to protect our companion animals, especially in the State of Texas.

Marissa is being rushed to a critical care veterinary hospital to receive life saving treatment. It is anticipated her medical costs will exceed $2500. Rescue Dogs Rock NYC continue to rescue the worst cases because of ongoing support. Please donate to help these critically injured pets.

Check out her video. Who neglects their companion animal like this? And why don’t we have better laws?
