Handsome 2 year old German shepherd’s rescue pleas have expired and he’s euth’ listed

A handsome two-year-old German shepherd named Greico has been on the euthanasia list for days, and sadly his life could end at any time. He is currently waiting for someone with a heart and the desire to help at the Downey Animal Care Center in California.

A volunteer writes:

his pleas have all expired. he’s euth listed. he was scheduled to die on the 15th. He’s got a uri that needs outside vet treatment to get better.

According to notes from the shelter, Greico would make an exceptional companion for a German shepherd dog lover who is familiar with the breed. During the time a representative was trying to evaluate his disposition, Greico was distracted with all the commotion, but he is noted to settle down when his surroundings are calmer. He did lean in for comfort and love.

“He is a calm dog approved; he just needs a home with a good match and he will be someone’s forever four-legged furry friend.”

During his handling assessment  As the handler attempted to palpate his leg again Grieco turned to the handler and gave a low growl. The handler gave Grieco time to decompress before returning to his kennel.

Grieco is ok for public adoption adults only recommended (Known history of aggression for handling sensitivity of rear left leg) medium energy level calm dogs recommended.
