At the Riverside Animal Shelter in California, an eight-month-old puppy is scheduled to be euthanized because his owner failed him. When brought into the shelter as a stray, the German shepherd presented with severe tick infestation, hair loss and both ocular and nasal discharge.

The shelter has named him Kai, and this puppy needs a “rescue only” home or a medical waiver is possible for a private adoption. His time is nearly up through no fault of his own. This sweet puppy has been at the shelter for nearly a month and has been demonstrating signs of stress.

Please share this boy’s plight with approved rescue organizations, friends, family and social media contacts. Sharing saves lives.
