In South Salt Lake, Utah a dog was left tethered to a tree at the front of the South Salt Lake Animal Shelter on Wednesday during a severe winter storm. Employees at the South Salt Lake Animal Services arrived in the morning in order to shovel snow and heard the dog barking.

That night the temperature was only 30 degrees, and this poor pup had no shelter at all.

The public is being asked to look at the dog and if you recognize him to contact the shelter.

This dog was left tied up to one of our trees this morning in the freezing cold. We ask that you call us and we will see what we can dog to help you and your pet. leaving them tied up with no shelter or water is a crime.

Fortunately for the pup, he is now safe and warm inside of the shelter, and as he becomes accustomed to his surroundings and the people taking care of him, it is hoped his personality will begin to emerge.

Anyone with information about this dog is asked to call the South Salt Lake Animal Services at 801.483.6024.
