In McAllen, Texas, our hearts hurt knowing what happened to this dog rescued by Houstonk911 on Monday. He was being starved by his owners who had kept him tied up and unable to save himself.
According to the organization, his owner finally cut the rope that had kept the dog prisoner, but by then, he was too weak to even walk away and had likely lost all hope someone would find and help him. Fortunately, help came just in time.
The person who reached out to Houstonk911 told rescuers:
When you get close to him he opens his eyes wide because he’s so scared and he shakes when you get close to him. I hugged him tight and petted him and told him i loved him and he was going to be forever saved and taken care of now. he didn’t have to be scared.
Meet Sampson. He was immediately transferred to pet Dr. 911 in McAllen. His story is just beginning to unfold, and we are all sending positive thoughts for his recovery.
