Sally and Pumpkin arrived at the Pasadena Humane after their owner tragically died in an automobile accident. The closely bonded senior shepherds have been through so much emotional turmoil, it is important they find some stability and calmness as the search for a suitable home continues.

Both Sally, 9-years-old and Pumpkin, 8-years-old, are affectionate and kind dogs. Pumpkin is described as being more outgoing and regularly seeks out affection; she has been seen several times sticking her paw out through the bars seeking contact with people walking by. Sally follow Pumpkin’s lead for guidance and accepts soft stroking and treats after watching Pumpkin.

The two are so closely bonded. They seek one another out and give each other kisses on the mouth for reassurance. The shelter environment has been overwhelming, but luckily, they have each other for comfort.

Both Sally and Pumpkin are senior shepherds and will need additional vet care in their new home. Follow their story here.

These two beautiful dogs need out of the shelter and into a loving home. If you are interested in adopting this pair, please email [email protected].
