On June 20, 2023, Penny and Princess were left outside in the parking lot after closing at California’s Carson Animal Shelter. Both dogs were dirty and matted, but as sweet as could be. The shelter staff immediately began the tasks of washing and grooming the dogs so they would feel more comfortable.

Check out their video. Could they be any sweeter?

Life on a rural farm.
That could certainly be concerning.

  1. What precious little treasures. I hope someone local will open up their heart and home for them. They both deserve to be loved in a furever family for their entire lives.

  2. Very cute girls. But…if Penny is a chihuahua then I’m a Martian. 🙂 Penny is most definitely a terrier type dog like a Norfolk or Cairn but a bigger girl. Whoever said she’s a chihuahua is a nut. 🙂 I’m betting their owner passed away and the kids dumped them because that’s what happens. A Florida woman recently died and left 2.5 millions $$$ and a mansion for her cats but a judge threw out her will and separated the cats in a shelter for adoption. She did everything right for her cats and one judge decided not to honor her wishes.
