Meet Tucker, an adorable four-year-old Labrador retriever blend who had been carefully scouted by the Mariners manager Scott Servais and now is part of the team.

On Saturday, the Major League Baseball team announced they had adopted the dog from OkanDogs, a rescue organization in Cashmere, Washington where Servais and his wife previously volunteered. Tucker will be making regular appearances at T-Mobile Park and will occasionally travel with the team on road trips.

He got scouted very heavily. We ran people in there, and we cross-checked them. Jack ran in there. We got big time numbers on this dog. So he went high on the Draft. We’re happy to have him as a free-agent addition to our club. Really good.

This guy will fetch and play with the guys all day long …

By adopting Tucker, the team hopes to bring awareness to rescues all over the state and to show people just how great rescue pets are. Tucker is a great distraction for the tense times during games and has already won the hearts of his human teammates.

And don’t forget to follow Tucker on Instagram.
