During the worst heatwave the United Kingdom has ever experienced, Lollie and her eight puppies had to be rescued from a shed with no access for their basic needs. When found, Lollie was extremely emaciated, dehydrated and covered in superficial wounds – both old and recent injuries.
According to the The Cotswolds Dogs & Cats Home – CDCH, the dog did everything she could to keep her puppies safe and fed. The puppies have been named Rocket, Whippy, Calippo, Zap, Vimto, Chupa, Ben and Jerry – keeping with the summer ice cream theme. Their mother is now on a strict refeeding program to help her safely regain weight and muscle. She enjoys the company of humans and plays a little when taking a break from her puppies.
Lollie and all her pups will need neutering (when old enough, the pups will return to the rescue organization be neutered), vaccinating, microchipping and anything else they might need. Help with donations is needed to cover the medical and feeding costs.
