Misty Ann from Livingston, Texas, who goes by her popular TikTok handle @she_crazy_tho, shared a video a few months ago showing how she drove up to the new home she purchased and spotted a senior dog greeting her. Misty Ann had purchased the house from the late owner’s son who had been going to the house daily to feed his dad’s old dog, Ranger.
According to Newsweek, Misty Ann had looked at the home, and Ranger was there, but the son explained that his own medical needs precluded him from taking Ranger to his own home, but every day he would come to the house and feed the old dog. For the last three months, Ranger had been alone at the home, and so Misty Ann agreed to keep Ranger when she purchased the home since nearly everything that had been left was as it was at the time the owner died.
The original video showing Ranger greeting Misty Ann as she drove up garnered over 3.2 million views with the text overlay stating:
When you buy a house and adopt the late owner’s dog … You won’t be alone anymore Ranger.

Needless to say about how most of us love dogs and especially those who need of our assistance, Ranger became TikTok’s favorite senior pooch. Misty Ann had not been posting anymore videos of Ranger recently, and tentative viewers were afraid that the old dog may have passed away.
Ranger’s update, albeit a bit upsetting because of a recent accident at home, does show he is on the mend. In a recent video, Misty Ann explained how she accidentally ran over Ranger’s back leg with her truck, but rushed him to the veterinarian, and his prognosis remains positive. The follow up video reassured viewers:
Fortunately, viewers have been very understanding, and Ranger seems to be headed to more videos coming soon. He even has a puppy pal now who seems to delight the old guy.
