UPDATE: Squatty neglected pup with saddest eyes has stolen hearts

Spread the love

It had been on Tuesday, June 9, when a squatty little piglet-shaped pup with the saddest eyes and skin that appeared raw and painful covered in wounds was spotted scavenging the sidewalks in Atlanta, Georgia.

There was little doubt this poor little dog had been in agony for far too long.

Hounds in Pounds Inc., a rescue based in New Jersey, offered to step up and give her a new life. Her eyes are crusted, she is nearly hairless and her body is covered in scabs and angry looking inflamed skin. She must feel as if she is on fire.

Yesterday, we introduced you to Spaghetti O, the little piglet-shaped girl with the sad eyes, raw skin, and a body that looked like it had been suffering for far too long.

Today, we’re so grateful to tell you that she is SAFE and receiving treatment with Dr. Terry and her incredible team.

Spaghetti has already stolen hearts. Despite everything she has endured, which include the pain of her raw skin, the intense itching and the neglect, Spaghetti O remains one of the gentlest, sweetest dogs one could ever meet.

Probably for the first time in her life, people really care about her.

She has food in her belly. She is receiving medication to help her heal, and she has a veterinary team making sure she gets everything she needs.

Her recovery will be a process; her skin has a lot of healing to do.

There continues to be an investigation about her past and what she has been through, but dogs are incredibly forgiving, and she no longer has to face the awful things in life alone.

Because of donors and kind people, Spaghetti O is no longer wandering alone and suffering. Because of you, she has a chance.

Stay tuned for more updates as Spaghetti O begins her journey toward the happy, healthy life she has always deserved.
