On Tuesday, March 3, 2026, Logan’s Legacy 29 founder, Suzette Hall had been called to a small neighborhood in Los Angeles concerning a defenseless dog who surely had been let down by humans, but refused to hold any bitterness. Sure, the world has not been kind, but this little pooch had no conditions nor complaints when rescuers arrived to help.

Neighbors said he had been in the neighborhood for several days and was fine, so his serious injuries happened recently. He didn’t deserve this. Did someone just drop him off in the neighborhood? Did he even have any idea how to defend himself?

Sadly, it had seemed he just waited in the spot where he had been abandoned, hoping his family would return for him at anytime.

Suzette’s heart broke when she spotted the little guy:
Oh my goodness… sometimes I truly believe we could learn everything we need to know about life just by watching a dog.
Dogs teach us how to love without conditions. How to forgive without holding onto bitterness. How to keep going, even when the world hasn’t been kind.
Withing the last day or two, he had been struck by a car, but instead of giving up, he ran; he was looking for help until his little body could not run any longer. He had been in too much pain, and he finally had to lie down because he couldn’t take another step.

And when Suzette carefully and slowly approached him, and when she picked him up, he didn’t growl, he didn’t fight. He just tolerated the pain, knowing that he was finally being helped. What a gentle, trusting soul.
They are so incredibly resilient. So brave. So full of courage. Even in their deepest pain, they don’t complain.
Suzette named him Andy. He has a broken leg that had been extremely painful. He is now on pain medication, but he needs a very expensive specialized surgery.

One of the volunteers found a little stuffed dog toy that looks just like Andy. Now he has something to cuddle with and keep him encouraged while he’s fighting for his life.

Andy needs donations in order to pay for his surgery. Please help if you can.
