Niall Harbison is the founder of Happy Doggo, an organization which improves the lives of thousands of street dogs in Thailand and across the world.

Every dog has a story, and no one saw Stormzy’s coming when his owner was told to put him to sleep because of his brain injuries. His owner had been truly heartbroken, but he couldn’t afford to pay the expense of euthanasia and took the puppy home with him. After three days waiting for his dog to pass away, he was given the rescue organization’s contact information. That’s when he reached out to Happy Doggo and Niall Harbison for help.

No doubt even rescuers thought Stormzy’s life was over. The puppy had been struck by a car and suffered from severe brain injuries. He had been unable to stand or even lift his head. Veterinarians had recommended the only humane alternative was to put the puppy to sleep.
Against all odds, Harbison and his team provided the necessary care and rehabilitation. Stormzy’s journey involved hundreds of stumbles as he re-learned basic movements. The puppy’s story was shared on their Facebook page to inspire others. According to the rescue’s veterinarian, although the dog had huge head trauma and some other potential issues, he had a chance of survival. Along with lots of medicines and drips and care, he advised a wait and see approach. No one was sure, but they were hopeful.
…these videos are shared for the dogs and humans. We are all down at various times in our lives. If Stormzy can haul himself back up on his feet then there is hope for all of us.
It was a very long road, and Stormzy must have fallen over 1000 times, but he never gave up once. He was always straight back up. Every time he fell Harbison told him about a magical place called the “beach” that he would take him to one day if he made it.

Yesteday, Stormzy went to the beach.
