The Fort Lauderdale Police continue to search for a suspect who stole a 2024 Bentley Continental on Monday. Inside of the vehicle the owner had left her six-month-old black poodle named Coco while she spoke to a friend nearby.
Coco had been left in the vehicle with the key fob visible when a black car driving past stopped, ran up to the unlocked vehicle and drove away.
The suspects later dropped the puppy off in the neighborhood, and a Good Samaritan found the dog the next morning. The woman had recognized the missing pup from local news reports.
The puppy was taken to a local veterinarian for a checkup and had not been harmed. Coco’s owner, Carol Kalagher, is thankful for the return of her puppy.

Police are urging car owners not to leave their vehicles unlocked, remove all valuable and never leave a child or a pet unattended – even for a few minutes.
The vehicle has not been recovered. The 2024 White Bentley had a Florida tag -RSSD40.
