At the Broward County Animal Care, volunteers and staff try to help all of the dogs find their new homes. Sometimes, the best laid plans don’t work out; yes agreeably disappointing for the humans involved when a dog is returned to the shelter, but the sadness, confusion and obvious broken hearts of the dogs returned to the shelter and to a lonely kennel is worse.
Here she is:
YZMA HONEY
Female
This was Yzma’s photo when she first entered the shelter; she was full of hope and happy.

A 242-2522. Broward County Animal Care in South Florida. She is two years old and weighs about 35 to 40 pounds.
Volunteers noted she recently had a litter of puppies. On the playground, she’s not overly friendly, but tolerated other dogs. Yzma (Honey) is friendly with humans. As to why she was returned after only one day, shelter notes indicate her new owner was not able to afford her medication. For more information, check with the shelter.

No doubt, the sadness and disappointment shows in her face, her posture and her broken heart. Email: [email protected] – Ask for A2422522#returned. Please share her plight with family, friends and social media contact. Sharing saves lives.
