In Redlands, California, there had been several photos posted Wednesday afternoon on Facebook asking for help for a tiny dog who had likely been abandoned. She had been spotted scavenging for food days before; at one time even standing in the middle of the road begging for something to eat.

Maybe she belonged to a homeless person, but no one seemed to take notice of the small matted white dog, who not only was starving, but had a string tied underneath her belly, tied with a thick rubber band connected to a sac the size of a cat toy.

It was Faith Easdale who never hesitated to help, and after her friend Judy called for assistance, the future of this tiny pup would reveal a glimmer of hope. Judy found the pup in a ditch surrounded by trash; As she fed the small pup, she waited for the arrival of Faith and her team. This was a dire emergency, and this small pup needed help immediately.

As rescuers bent down to help, the smell of an ongoing infection permeated the air. How long had this dog been attached to this rubber band? What had happened to her?
Oh, the heartbreaking cruelty:
Check out the video (Please be advised parts of the video are very graphic and may not be suitable to all viewing audiences)
Surprise This is a girl We all thought male with string tied…
And what ever that is smells like the worst decaying infection
The veterinarian at the emergency veterinarian hospital said Faith and the team had saved her life! She has a “grade 3” heart murmur, and she’s an older girl super thin. She is now undergoing further testing to evaluate her condition, but there was that wonderful sign of forgiveness from a tiny dog rescued by people who care; she already is loved.

She wagged her tail at the vet. We think she knows we care.
Updates to follow. Many thanks to Judy for finding her and being her real life angel.
