Airlines require pets to be in carriers in order to fly with their owners. The dog or cat must be small enough to fit comfortably under the seat and meet the airline’s specific carrier requirements. The pet must be able to stand up, turn around and lie down comfortably within the carrier.
With that in mind, a recent TikTok video posted by @deltababe73 showed an airline employee trying her best to do the right thing for a defenseless little dog. The video shows a woman sitting in the waiting area with her small poodle sitting beside her. The carrying case she has for the dog is clearly too small for the dog, who by airline regulations, must remain in the carrier for the entire flight.
In the video clip, which has garnered more than 400,000 views and thousands of comments, the airline employee tells the woman the dog has to fit comfortably into the carrier. So what does the woman do? She unzips a small pink pet carrier, shoves the dog into it, pushes the pup’s head down and zips the bag closed.
you can’t fly like that. the dog has to be able to move a full circle, which she cannot do in that carrier.
The passenger and the airline employee argue, but it is clear the dog is unable to move as the woman “literally folded the dog” into the carrier.
For the most part, there was little sympathy for the woman, but a lot of concern for the precious pup.
