At the Torrington Regional Animal Control in Harwinton, Connecticut, the staff is asking the public for information after finding a husky tied with a retractable leash to a picnic table near John Toro Field along the walking trail.

It had been on Tuesday morning when someone reported the dog tethered to the table with no one around.

The dog’s owner has not been found, and officials are still seeking information regarding who is responsible for abandoning the pup.

The shelter appreciates all of the calls that have come in so far, however they still do not have the answer.

Desmond’s Army Animal Law Advocates has offered a $5,000.00 reward for information leading to the arrest and prosecution of the person(s) responsible for abandoning the husky on Oct 1, 2025. If you recognize this dog or know who it belongs to, please contact animal control at 860-485-9165.

Please share and help this pup find justice and of course a new, loving home. He remains part of an investigation and is not available for adoption at this time.
