Just imagine this poor dog’s fate. Some heartless fool abandoned her in the Rio Grande Valley of Texas; an area spanning the border of Texas and Mexico where too many dogs are thrown away as if they were trash.
Just imagine this poor dog’s fate when a complete stranger, either out for sick kicks or just plain mean and cruel, shoots her in the stomach and leaves her lying in the field slowly bleeding to death.
Just one week ago, this dog actually had a home, but for whatever reason she was no longer wanted. And instead of taking her to a nearby shelter or trying to find a rescue to help her find a new home, she was thrown away in a rural area. She managed to find a friendly neighbor in the area; there were no fences and she hid under the house to stay safe. The kind woman, who owned the home, would feed her daily, and at night this lost pup, “just a stray” would return to hide and sleep.
It was Thursday morning when the woman heard a gunshot echo in the wind. Moments later she spotted the dog running to her house and collapse. Shee was bleeding; someone had aimed for her and shot her in the stomach.
As weak and as painful as her injury, she has been going back and forth underneath the house to hide.
They shot her. In the stomach. And she is just taking it. Just laying there. Taking the pain and suffering she was born into. Yes, authorities were called. And it’s just a laughing matter. Who cares if a person shot a dog. It’s just a stray.
sHe needs a rescue and foster. sHe is bleeding out. If anyone wants to help just a stray.
