Meet tiny Pepito; this poor little guy has been both injured and then abandoned. His family left him at a park in Compton, California, on Thursday unable to walk. All Pepito did was cry in pain, shake and hoped someone would save him from his misery.

Suzette Hall, founder of  Logan’s Legacy 29, met other volunteer rescuers at the park on Friday morning to help. The number of dogs being abandoned has exponentially increased, and each case is perhaps more heartbreaking than the next. And Pepito’s story is absolutely heartbreaking:

The owner’s son who is 18 and emotionally unstable beat pepito on Thursday and caused him these injuries. The owner later admitted to dumping him at the park ‘because she didn’t know what else to do.’

Pepito is safe and will be examined and treated by the organization’s partner veterinarian. He is not able to walk. Updates to follow, but meanwhile check out the photos – sometimes rescue work is so emotionally draining, but Suzette never gives up.

  1. PLEASE PLEASE—WE ABSOLUTELY MUST MUST HELP THIS DEAR BRAVE LITTLE SWEETHEART!
PLEASE HELP WITH HIS MEDICAL BILLS!

HELL IS WAITING FOR THE EVIL LUNATIC!

  2. That poor precious little treasure!!! He did nothing wrong and his humans failed him big time…… I can’t believe WHY he was abandoned when he seriously needed help from his so-called family.

If that POS teen were my kid, I would have first taken my furbaby to the emergency vet, disowned the POS, and reported him to the police and animal control. I would insist on pressing charges and refuse to bail him out of jail. I would rekey the house, pack his stuff up and donate all of it to a charity. Then I would seriously consider moving to a different location and never telling him. He’s out of my life permanently. Harming my helpless and innocent furbaby is unforgivable.
