At the Palm Beach Animal Care & Control in West Palm Beach, a two-year-old French bulldog found in Lantana is in urgent need of rescue. The source who found the dog stated he was hungry and thirsty and appeared as if he had been on the brink of collapsing.

An Animal Control Officer from the shelter responded to the call for help. When he arrived, he noted the dog had been suffering from head to toe skin conditions. In addition, the Frenchie appears to have several warts or masses. He did not have a microchip.

Back at the shelter, his medical condition has been diagnosed to include chronic, severe skin disease; demodex mange is possible along with allergies. He also has several broken and worn teeth as well as an ear infection. With dogs suffering from allergies in South Florida, all of these painful conditions often go hand in hand.

On the positive side, however, this dog is heartworm negative.

This sweet boy needs urgent rescue help due to his medical issues. His treatment needs are beyond our current capacity for care.

He is on stray hold until June 25.

Non-stray holding partners can place a commitment before this date but pickup would need to be after.
