Two dogs dubbed the “Property brothers” -also now known as Drew Scott and Jonathan Scott, are safe at Stray Rescue of St. Louis. Both of these beautiful and gentle dogs had been at a rural shelter located in Campbell, Missouri; six dogs had originally been reported living in deplorable conditions there. Three of the dogs died, and three survivors needed immediate help.

When the photos and description of the conditions the dogs had been subjected to, began circulating on social media, outraged people and Good Samaritans in the area stepped up to help. Diamonds in the Ruff Rescue agreed to take one of the survivors, and Stray Rescue of St. Louis committed to helping the other two dogs.

The animal cruelty task force and the Agriculture Department of Missouri are working together to make sure this kind of disgusting situation ever happens again.

As for Drew and Jonathan, it is a new day for these two dogs, and they will never have to look back.

Allow us to introduce you to Drew Scott and Jonathan Scott (Property Brothers!) They are safe now at Stray Rescue. We are thanking god they are in much better condition than we thought they would be. We were really scared they were going to be near death themselves.

These boys are sweet, beautiful, and so grateful.

They have seen some horrific things this month, including several other dogs starve to death right next to them.

On Wednesday morning, the dogs woke up to a day filled with good food and smiling faces greeting them after a clean and restful night’s sleep. Both dogs seem thankful they have been rescued.

It is depressing to think that the dogs had to be rescued from a shelter. Isn’t that a place where a dog is safe and cared for until his owner returns or he is adopted? Shouldn’t the dogs be fed and kept in suitable conditions? Isn’t that the least we should all expect of a shelter?

Stray Rescue of St. Louis is bursting at the seams and sure could use help. Drew and Jonathan need foster homes, and who couldn’t imagine a better scenario than watching these dogs snuggle up together on a comfortable and plushy bed in a real home. Are you the one?
