His name is Sketcher, and he’s a two-year-old German shepherd listed for humane euthanasia at any time at the overcrowded animal shelter in Downey, California. There have not been any posts on social media, nor has his video or photos been shown. What are his chances of being adopted or rescued?

Hi my name is Sketcher. I am a 2 year old black and tan German shepherd male. I am EUTH LISTED at the very deadly Downey shelter. I entered the shelter as a stray on Nov 4th. I need help to safely exit this high kill shelter. Please share me to attract a foster + rescue or adopter. I am in Medical – see notes in comments.

“Once in the play yard Sketcher quickly perked up with a relaxed demeanor and began to exchange greetings. Sketcher roamed the yard for some time sniffing and marking various locations appearing interested in the environment. Sketcher continued to socialize and explore the yard with some of the others in the yard. Sketcher remained social in the calm yard but did not engage in play. Sketcher hesitantly approached the handler to solicit brief petting appearing more interested in exploring the yard. Sketcher maintained a calm social demeanor during his time in the play yard.”
