At the SPCA of Wake County in Raleigh, North Carolina, a senior pup with some special, albeit not impossible needs, awaits someone to fall in love and adopt him.
A volunteer writes:
This is Jigsaw. Because he will complete your heart. Jigsaw is one of the sweetest, gentlest old boys we’ve ever had the pleasure of meeting. he’ll drop everything for a head scratch or a treat. Sometimes he’ll try to ‘pick up’ your hand with his paw and direct it to the top of his head. For this ol’ boy, it’s the simple things in life.

Jigsaw is listed as an eight-year-old senior and has Stage 2 renal disease. In order to keep him healthy, he is on a special diet and even gets special treats. His prognosis looks promising, and it’s hoped he will be with us for a few more happy years where he gets to have adventures, gets plenty of attention and gets to cuddle with the human who will love him. What dog wouldn’t want to spend his time with head scratches and hugs everyday?
It is understandable that Jigsaw’s special needs, as well as being a senior is a lot to ask, but giving a senior the gift of having a home so he no longer has to spend his life at a shelter – no matter how the staff and volunteers love and dote on him, is a true gift.
