It was less than two weeks ago, when 100+ Abandoned Dogs of Everglades of Florida came to the rescue of a 10-pound terrier found in Fort Lauderdale with his mouth bound shut with a rubber band and a thick laced string.

The dog, dubbed Larry, was rushed to the organization’s partner veterinarian. Sadly, no one in the area where he was found knew anything, and worst of all – no one had any idea how long the dog’s snout had been bound shut.

From the moment his rescuers met him, Larry was loving, submissive, affectionate and forgiving. He underwent surgery this week which included blood work, vaccines, microchipping and neutering.

And now for the best news! Check this out:

A wonderful previous adopter of ours Sharon & her beautiful family have opened their beautiful hearts & home to Larry. I just received the most heartwarming update & to say our hearts are bursting is an understatement. Larry you are finally home where you will be loved & adored unconditionally as it always should be. May you never ever see anything bad again in your sweet life.

And if you’re smiling from ear to ear about Larry’s great fortune, here’s just a little more happiness to fill your Sunday afternoon from Larry’s new mom:

I fed all 3 dogs at the same time. No issues. He and bear were laying with me together. He and Duck were just outside sniffing around. Doing their business. He is going to be an amazing dog and a wonderful brother to duck and bear

Thank you for making our family complete
