Heartbreak is happening again! This time, a two-year-old female stray pooch was found roaming the area near Dowdy Ferry Road; she has no eyes. “Lady” was found accompanied by Dude who appeared to have been her “eyes” and safety pup protector.

According to Dallas Animal Services, Lady has been blind since birth. She is currently at the shelter and is being treated for diarrhea, tick infestation and is regularly being examined for signs of improvement. She is in need of socialization, and because of her behavior has made examining and behavior observations difficult. Sadly the dogs have been separated at the shelter and are lost without each other.

The shelter also notes her physical evaluation shows evidence of “fly strike and suspect p is microphthalmic, likely due teratogenic viral or congenital malformation.”

  1. SUPER URGENT! PLEASE PLEASE—IT WOULD BE CRIMINAL TO KILL THIS LOVING AND DEEPLY LOVING PAIR!

WE CAN DONAYE AND/OR SPONSOR! JUST LET US KNOW HOW!

  2. If these 2 precious treasures like small dogs, they are welcome to join our pack in Washington state. We have room for 2 more rescue dogs and would be happy to have them.

We have a blind dog now and he’s terrific!!! Doesn’t seem to know he’s blind (& he’s all black as well)…… blind dogs and all black dogs are wonderful companions!!! We are truly blessed to have our furbabies (and we love to foster other dogs too until they find their furever family and home).

  3. Please contact Toni Houck . She has Toni’s Ponies and is a certified rescue. She wants the bonded pair. She will keep them and they will never be separated ever again. It will be a forever home also.
