In Cedartown, Georgia, at Polk County Animal Control, our hearts couldn’t hurt any deeper than watching this senior cattle dog waiting for her person to come to the shelter and take her home.
And, as she has so many times in the past, animal rescue volunteer Shannon Hicks Camp has been at the shelter trying her best to get this sweet gal noticed. Sometimes it’s the unorthodox descriptions that catches the eye of that special person:
this baby is at least 1000 years old. She was probably one of the original dogs that came over on the ark.

How sad this old gal looks. No one has come to the shelter looking for her, but notice how this senior refuses to give up and sticks her nose through her shelter cage hoping to spot her favorite human. Will he/she show up?
We have puppies on the euthanasia list and everyone loves puppies. Y’all tell me what chance does this ole gal have ???
