In the Tampa Bay area of Florida, Rugaz Rescue has stepped up to help a seven-week-old puppy abandoned on the doorstep of a local animal shelter. The rescue organization picked up the puppy, who suffers from severe burns down most of her back, and immediately transported her to a veterinarian in New Port Richey. The extent of her injuries could not be properly evaluated until her back was shaved down and cleaned.

Once it was revealed how extensive her burns were, it was clear this was going to be a long and hard recovery for this innocent puppy.

We need your help to heal Baby Ma’vie… She will need laser therapy daily, medicated soaks, topical and oral antibiotics and to be kept in a sterile medical environment while she is so suspectable to environmental infections. This is going to be a devastatingly expensive recovery.

So far the puppy has only known the horrors of this world. She WILL know unconditional love and what beauty is in this world. The rescue organization needs your help to keep this promise to her.

The puppy has been named Ma’vie, and she is currently at an emergency veterinarian hospital receiving round-the-clock care, including medicated baths several times a day, topical and oral antibiotics as well as laser therapy to help alleviate pain. She is being kept in isolation to monitor her in a sterile environment to stave off any secondary infections.

“Ma’vie” (named for the French meaning “My life/World” is under the care of Animal Hospital of Regency Park in New Port Richey, FL. What is truly amazing about Ma’vie is her will to live and to be happy. Despite all of her medical needs and treatments, this little one is always happy to see anyone, loves the attention and “has tail wags and kisses for everyone.”

  1. I wish I was there to help this precious little baby!!! I am an expert at bathing furbabies and other supportive veterinary care.

I can’t understand how and why anyone could hurt precious furbabies. My instinct is to snuggle furbabies and give them treats…….

I just can’t imagine intentionally hurting someone (my ex deserves to be treated badly. His current wife is a horrible person and he got his well deserved karma…….)

I hope the pos who hurt this precious little baby girl has horrible karma now!!! They have earned themselves a reserved spot in the hottest part of Hell to burn forever for their cruelty……. IMHO they can’t get there soon enough!!!
