At the corner of Aldine Westfield and Kowis Streets in Houston, a defenseless puppy tried her best to sleep and protect herself from the scary predators inching closer and closer. Too young to go scavenging on her own, she surely would not have survived much longer, but a rescue volunteer spotted her and called out to social media contacts asking for help.

PLEASE SOMEONE SAVE HIM

There’s a sleeping puppy all by itself under a bar. I can’t do anything as I have 4 dogs of my own and 1 dog I’m trying to get into a rescue.

This pup was tiny and lethargic and needed help as soon as possible. The puppy has since been rescued, thanks to Christy Kennedy, and needs immediate veterinarian care. She has pale gums and cries when touched.

The puppy is now under the care of Destination Rescue Dog. At least she is Parvovirus negative, however she isn’t moving her back legs. She has been administered anti-inflammatory medications to help reduce the swelling, and then she will need to be x-rayed to see what is going on.

She is approximately six-weeks-old and has also been given antibiotics. She is too weak to be vaccinated at this time.

We are waiting for her foster mom to name her. The rescue organization will make an Amazon wish list as well for this sweet girl if anyone is so inclined to donate something.

X-rays can get expensive – so we need to raise funds for her care. If you’re able to donate, it would be much appreciated!
