Volunteers are truly heartbroken watching a 16-year-old German shepherd named Reno, trying to maneuver what should be his kind golden years, at Animal Care Services [ACS] in San Antonio, Texas.

PetHarbor adoption listing information:

RENO – ID#A677315

I am a male, brown German Shepherd Dog.

The shelter staff think I am about 16 years old.

I have a possible rescue group waiting for me.

I was surrendered by my owner and am currently at San Antonio Animal Care Services. If you still believe you may be my owner please make arrangements to pick me up as soon as possible by 4:30 PM on 06/15/2023. Upon arrival, please see the administration team to be escorted to my kennel. I will need confirmed adoption, foster or rescue placement by 10 am on 06/16/2023. Adoption, Foster, Rescue, or Owner reclaim Questions: Connect with ACS.

Phone: 210.207.4738

Please share Reno’s plight with approved rescue organizations, friends, family and social media contacts. We continue to bring their stories out to readers until the dog is safely out of the shelter.
