Prince has been waiting at a shelter for three years. Who can even imagine his loneliness; no one he can call his human nor a home to call his own. Prince can be found at Popcorn Park, Ocean County Animal Shelter in Forked River, NJ.
So why hasn’t anyone wanted to adopt Prince? Perhaps stereotypes in the dog?
- Prince has been overlooked because he is a large pit bull mix.
- Prince is a black dog – so often overlooked.

- Prince has to be the only dog in the home.
When will Prince be judged fairly and for the loving dog he really is? He is healthy, playful and just a gentle giant who has done nothing wrong, In fact, he was someone’s best and loyal friend for eight years before being surrendered due to landlord issues. No dog should be spending one day in a shelter – no senior should be without a home.

What a sweet dog!!! I am sorry that he has to be the only dog in the house because that eliminates many potential adopters (like me, who love seniors).
I hope someone local can open up their heart and house for this precious treasure and give him the love he deserves!!!
