When Zeus, an adorable Labrador retriever and Rottweiler mix wants to play, he carefully surveys the conditions and of course where his favorite humans are at the time, and without hesitation demands some dog on human fetching time.
The seven-year-old pooch, owned by Moe Kucer @moeky1985, starred in a sweet TikTok video recently, showing Zeus’ ingenuity figuring out how to get Moe’s boyfriend’s participation in a game of fetch. The 20 second video begins as Zeus sits with his red frisbee on the lawn. Boyfriend is mowing – that is until Zeus drops the frisbee directly in front of the lawnmower.

And so once Zeus drops the frisbee in front of the mower, he knows boyfriend has to bend down to move it out of the way, and of course the toy gets tossed to the side and Zeus plays fetch!
Sadly, in a bittersweet follow-up video posted a few days later, we learn that Zeus has terminal bone cancer and only has about six months to live. Moe doesn’t throw the toy too far since the dog’s mobility has become strained and limited, and it’s best to avoid any further injury or discomfort.
I really just wanted to share Zeus just because I love him very much and he doesn’t have much time left.
